A COMMITTEE IS FORMED TO COORDINATE REPAIRS ON THE TAJ:
The Archaeological Survey of India carried out repair work on the Taj in the early part of this century. The Committee of 1942 was established to make recommendations on further repairs and renovation. A lot of minor repair work was ordered, but on the whole, the committee found that the Taj's structural condition had not deteriorated greatly for two centuries.
